This spring event is always welcome after a rather dormant winter season of phonograph hibernation. The show brings dealers from the east coast, south, and the Midwest. The Sunday show is high energy with plenty of machines, records, ephemera, and collectibles.
Come early on Friday and visit the Thomas Edison National Historical Park, just short drive from Wayne. Jerry Fabris, curator, along with Robin and Joan Rolfs will be presenting a program: “The Sound of Edison’s Talking Doll” at 1:00 P.M. Often dismissed as a failure, technical features in the development of the doll lead to the success of later cylinder and phonograph products. See and hear the amazing Edison Talking Doll. The presentatiion is a free event at the park.
Reservations required: Call 973-736-0550, ext. 89.

The Saturday thing is pretty informal. I have seen people there as early as first light and they kind of straggle in. If it rains folks leave stuff in the cars and complain to each other until the sun comes out, or set up a tent if they planned ahead. I've been to a few in the last few years and recommend it if you have the time.

It never rains in NJ. That's why it's so small. Everything but taxes, and maybe a governor or two.chikukai wrote:I've been to regular Wayne show, plan to go again, but haven't yet attended the parking lot sale... It's Saturday morning from what time ? What if it rains?
