Sometimes his phone system goes on the blink. WHAT WORKS: Write him a nice letter, include your parts order, and a hearty THANK YOU. I have been in a "Sitko bind" in the past, and this was my solution, and it worked. I've found that a strong lined calligraphy gets quicker shipments, as well as illuminated letters. Sometimes starting the letter with, "Dear Sitko, I hope this letter finds you well......."
Everyone here....EVERYONE should be thankful for Ron, as the hobby essentially orbits around his masterful spring making skills. And he's a super nice guy as well.

I received some parts from him Monday, but his phone is out.

Ron has always sent my shipments without pre-payment, trusting his buyers to pay by mail upon receipt. Subsequently the order time for most parts is about as fast as online dealings. No one else I know still does this!

Ron does the exact same thing with me.

I hope no one tries to take advantage of Ron and not pay him after the parts come though the mail.

Such dishonesty would be most unwise in a hobby as small as ours. A few unscrupulous souls have learned this lesson to their own detriment!

I completely agree with other posters. Ron has helped me enormously with hard to find items like my B80 spring and is happy to forward items across the Atlantic. One of the best - we are lucky to have him.

He used to sell some of his original parts, but not anymore. Ron is a great guy and if your at any of the shows, you should look him up and tell him so.

PS: He says he don't have a Computer, but I think he is fibbing?

Yes, but does he have a preferred hand? Would Uncial do best, or Blackletter, or Chancery, or Roundhand?

(Actually, I've written him before, and got a good response).
