Congrats Sean, glad you got it and it should cleanup nicely.
It's present condition kinda reminds me of my C model L door
when I got it. Good luck with the cleanup.

I'm also a bit jealous (being another bidder as well). First time I've seen a gold plated Exhibition with the spring arm in the needle chuck. Wasn't even sure they made any.

Glad to see it at least ended up in good hands. Congrats!

Sean, I'm sure it will look great when you are finished. I can see how well the finish might come out in the test areas you had already done. I once bought an L door from a cellar that had mold everywhere. The machine had mildew inside and out. Even the veneer was starting to pull off. It took several weeks of drying in order to get the doors to shut properly. Congrats on the new purchase. I expect to see album boxes (without letters) and the correct soft covered index tucked in behind the needle cups in the near future...;)

Ha! Thanks everyone. Yeah, I've got a couple index books that are correct (black leather "Victrola Records" embossed in gold on the cover). As for record boxes, well, this came with none. I had extras I sold to a couple of people here last year. I've got a couple upstairs that have the letters on them, I know these would have had "blank" spines, but I'll probably put them in this anyway. I'm really looking forward to this project!
