The back bracket is genuine- the crappy copies were copied from the same pattern.

My cheap but genuine machine has the same.

Thanks for showing the machine without the turntable. It is all original. Crap-o-phones made poor castings of these parts. Even though this is a cheap, inexpensive machine, the parts fit correctly. For a basic, simple machine, I think it is very attractive.

I have to agree with estott and Harvey. The parts all seem to be original. Why another member seems stuck on Crapophones is beyond me. The casting quality is never as good as seen here clearly cast out of iron and not cheap brass (as seen on Indian models).

However, I do question whether this case had a different bracket and or arm originally. I say this because, the arm appears to fall short of the spindle.
In other words, the needle should touch the top of the center spindle. Perhaps the arm alone was replaced..??.
The horn is a great design and color scheme. I like it.

These cheap, inexpensive machine never had the quality of the higher priced machines. Usually the tone arms are maybe between ¼" to about ½" to short. These machines were put together with what was available in the factory that day. Quality control was very lax with these machines. As I said before, these machines were made to make a cheap machine look impressive. The machine that I have actually play very well despite the slightly shorter arm.

There is 2holes directly under the back bracket where it attaches to the case.I assumed that for some reason the bracket had to be raised about a inch but maybe it was originally a completely different bracket of the same width.Don't know to be honest.
