i would hang on to it i had a whamo! like this 20 years back at a flea market a guy was selling 45's he had a table full of them and i was searching for red vinylite rca's there where about 80 7'' records among the 45's
berliners both euro and american, victors, g&t's and zonophone
i still have them all i never did find any red vinylites among this batch dough

How many phonograph auctions do you suppose they have in South Dakota? This must have been a collectors leavings. acquired at estate sale or whatever. Nice stuff.

I just found some info on your wood record box in my Antique Phonograph Gadgets Gizmos & Gimmicks book on page 105. It shows a box like yours, except the base trim has a design stamped into it, that was sold by National Gramophone Company circa 1898 for $2.50. Then it says “Later, in 1900, Eldridge Johnson offered a similar box with a plainer base for $2.00.”
Can you read anything on the label? I wonder if anyone reproduces that label.

Hi, You can get an appropriate replacement handle at
http://www.brettunsvillage.com/trunks/h ... andles.htm. TH-24 is likely the correct dimension. That is a new style just up on the website. I used the TH-15 successfully but on the TH-24, the ends are shaped properly, and the body of the handle slightly thinner both positives after my experience with the TH-15. Order one of each and check them out - they are cheap enough. John

I need a replacement handle for a Victor 2-55, plus some old camera system cases... looks like these folks have what I need.
