Dave,
I am so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. We so enjoyed our visit with you both. He was so kind to share his wonderful collection and the stories about the different machines with us. Our sincere condolences, Rick and Jan.

Dave,
I always enjoyed talking with your dad and will miss him. I am glad you had a common interest in really cool things like old phonographs with him. Very sorry for your loss and my thoughts are with you.

I can relate, as one can never fill the void of losing a parent. I lost my Dad back in 2012 around Christmas and it was a huge loss, and miss him every day. We also used to go out to antique stores and flea markets and go through records. He used to laugh about some of the songs.
Remember the good times, they are what carries us through.
I wish you the very best during this time.
It is always sad to lose another fellow collector.
Kindest Regards,
Jerry

Dave,
So sorry for your loss. I never met your father, but if he was anything like you, he was a "Fine Gentleman".
Sincere condolences,
Bob Schuljak

I'm saddened to learn of Bill's passing. I always looked forward to seeing Bill and his son David at Union. I bought a nice Columbia BF from Bill in the parking lot at the Union show in 2009. We were caught in the act by "Barney" (Union attendees may remember him). Bill was able to talk his way out of the confrontation, and we had a good laugh about it.

I have done reproducer work for Bill for years so we emailed often. When I needed to have a machinist make a screw for a drip pan Gem I asked on the Phonolists for photos. It was Bill who send me photos of both types of the Drip Pan Gem screws along with the exact dimensions of each which allowed the machinist to create a screw that looked original. When I needed help getting photos or dimensions of rare reproducers Bill and David were always there to help. I looked forward to seeing them both at the Orlando Show. Bill embodied what makes our hobby so enjoyable, he had fun sharing his joy of collecting with others. I started to email Bill in 2004 and meeting him at the Orlando show and seeing him each year he was at the show was wonderful. He even brought part of his reproducer collection for me to see. I feel very bad for Bill's family.

Bill will be missed. He had a million phonograph stories. When Bill started to tell you about the time when... just sit back and listen, it's going to be a good one.
