My trip starts in 6 hours but with a lot lighter load, two kids, two suit cases and one cardboard box each weighed to be just at the 50lb limit, (luggage, not kids).
It gets better after we land in Minnesota though. Leave kids with Grandpa & Grandma, borrow Grandpa's pickup and attach a UHaul trailer, then pick up three misfits en route from Fargo ND to Union!

Jerry, I was thinking if I buy too many phonographs, maybe you could put one or two in the front seat and leave Stan at Union? I don't think he'd mind, and I'm sure he could eventually find his way back, hitchhiking, jogging, whatever; it's not that far.

I didn't mention what I have in the trailer for sale. I have:
Victor 1 - $850 - small case with an interesting after market flowered horn.
Columbia BN - $650 - very nice original machine
Columbia BH - $? - I'm picking us a very nice eight panel nickel horn - If it looks as nice as I expect, it may slide over into the "going home" category.
Edison Standard A - Very nice all original machine - 2&4 minute - $350
Edison Standard D - Nicely refinished with a new mandrel bushing - 2&4 minute - H reproducer - $350
Silvertone table model - cheap little lidless disk machine - This machine could possible be the uglies machine at Union and it could be yours for $100.
Edison Gem A - cute little key wound machine - 2 minute - $400
Victor #24 Flower horn - $200
Victor #19 Flower horn - $175
Col BZ horn - $225
two small Columbia screw in horns (Standard A size) - $65 each

Have a safe and fun drive over. Too bad your not hauling anything for me this year other than the Victor #17 horn. See you at the show.

My ride to the show looks like this (see below). I have some use-it-or-lose-it air miles that I'm burning. It limits the size of the treasures I can buy at the show, however it does cut two days off the trip.
I usually drive to the show by myself which allows me to buy whatever I want with no major logistics issues. This year I'll have to be mindful of how am I'm getting the goodies home on the plane or otherwise.
