It isn't going to ruin the wood, but I guess that you won't be convinced by people who have used it repeatedly.

I'm sorry, I just don't trust it!

Besides, all of the ones I find have Pumice in it.

Right, so I am going to have my Cousin Mark, who is a carpenter. Take a look at the lid, and tell me what he, recommends. Plus, he said he could fix a pice of trim for me.

Here are some photos of the lid for my phonograph. Which I do not need to ruin.

I might be more convinced if someone did a video, using GoJo or Goop to clean wood. Since no one on Google or YouTube is saying it's okay to use.

So you prefer YouTube over the TMF for Gojo & info cleaning on old wood finishes? Do a search on the TMF forum and there are over 30 pages of reference on this subject. There is a thread were a very early Berliner Trade Mark machine is profiled with before and after pictures. Also Ace Hardware has been known to have Gojo, the plain stuff without the pumice.

The guys at Auto Zone aren't furniture experts
nor automobile experts

I went to Auto Zone yesterday to pick up some parts for the 65 Chrysler Imperial, the guy didn't know what ignition points were! :?

So true! When I had my Packard, Nappa was always a better choice. But I do live out in a rural area where there are a lot of old tractors still running. In the early 1960's my dad drove a used 1957 Imperial. That was a car! And the 1965 is basically the same car updated.
