I have noticed on Edison records at times I hear what evidently was a glitch in the speeds as the record is being recorded, so Victor is not alone.

With a 1920's acoustic Brunswick like the one in the video I usually assume a speed of around 80 rpm, and if that don't sound right I'll adjust the pitch. With a Victor of similar vintage I'd assume around 76 rpm to start with, and so on. Of course speeds were all over the place. But certain labels at certain periods do seem to have speeds / speed ranges that they favored.
