The perfect blend of art and utility... makes American utilitarian machines (Victor, Edison...) look kind of bland. Unfortunately, the museum was under construction when I was there... now I have a reason to go back.

Thanks for sharing Rene. I visited him last summer just as he was in the final stages of setting the museum up. There is really some amazing pieces there - both American and European machines. It is definitely like Disneyland for phonograph collectors. I'll see if I can round up some of the pics I took and will post.

The red & silver "striped" horn is now my new desire - it's like a glistening, sweet candy balloon ....

I totally love that horn. It's made of copper and aluminum. Amazing combination.
