Thanks but Didnt miss that audiophile. The victor-victrola is a wealth of info.What i didnt see was the same cabinet design. I guess the Canadian designs are not as well documented/cataloged.

Speaking of the Alvara , here's the description from the 1927 Victor Talking Machine Company of Canada catalgue.
They're very handsome machines. One of my eternal regrets is the one I didn't buy.
