Although celluloid 2min cylinders don't seem to be damaged, I do find that using a 4min stylus produces less surface noise but is also not as clear as using a 2min stylus. Seems to be a trade-off there - I usually take the lazy option, and use the 4min stylus (meaning: not turning over an "O" or not replacing a "B" with something else )....
