As I see it, this was service to other members who can make the auction and get some good machines. Lets leave out this BS bickering and get back to the real subject, the Victor Schoolhouse on auction. Sheesh

This place must actively seek out machines. They always seem to have nice ones for sale.

There are a couple around here that do the same thing, in fact, that's how I got my XXV Schoolhouse and my 8-8 Schoolhouse.

Sean,
What does the 8-8 look like? Does it have wheels and a handle on the back? What about a 8-7?

Right, both quite different machines. One of my most recent projects is an 8-7 a friend of mine picked up for me. They each have a different sound, one has a wood horn while the 8-8 has a metal horn.

So the 8-8 is just a 8-9?

No, similar, but the 8-9 has no wheels, more record storage and a more decorated cabinet. I had an 8-9 also, but sold it after I got my 8-8 since they are very similar and I don't have room.

To the best of my knowledge, The Schoolhouse Victor and the Orthophonic School House never had provisions to store records or paper material. Did Victor make an accompanying cabinet to hold records and other materials to go with these machines? I never saw any before.
