I have installed bushings in lots of clocks, but never in an Edison cylinder player. I think your problem is something else. Can you post a video?

I have never seen an Edison so worn that it needed bushings, but I suppose anything is possible. If that proves to be the case, I would buy some original motor plates rather than attempt to install bushings. Sure, it could be done, but it would be easier and more authentic to simply replace the plates. The Homes are common as dirt and finding parts from a junker should not be hard at all. Just tell the members on this forum which model of Home you have and I'll bet someone could come up with the parts.
