The limit loop appears to be wider set than what I am accustomed to. Here is a photo.

It looks to scale with mine. Although a little bent.

Yes, definitely bent. Not sure that I have seen many that aren't a bit bent up on one side or the other. Does this match your Edisonic or your standard DD reproducers? My standard ones have narrower loops.

My "Edisonic". You're right, the "Regular" reproducer loops were smaller to coincide to the smaller limit pin.

Are Edisonic reproducers supposed to provide louder sound? The main thing I notice in listening to mine is that the clarity is improved, and I can hear more of the music, there is more depth and detail. I also notice that pops and scratches are more pronounced. Is this the experience that any of you have had with an Edisonic?

Edisonic reproducers were in fact developed to be louder than their predecessors (with the possible exception of the "Dance" reproducer), and thus the pops and scratches would also sound more prominent.

As for the frequency response, I don't know how much effort was put into actual engineering to that end, but likely as the years of trial and error had proven to show developmental improvements, then better sound would have been realized.

Here's a short video of my Edisonic reproducer in action along with the fruits of a day of polishing the C-19 cabinet with some Bri-Wax to bring up the dingy old checkered finish. What do you folks think?
