That's great!!!! I'm glad to see us "Experts" made the seller see the light. This is the entertaining part of the hobby.

At least he reads the Forum, as evidenced by his new description:
"I am no expert, I originally listed this horn based on my opinion as an antique original horn. Thanks to the few experts whom were so eager to criticize and voice their opinions on their forum, a real attribution to EBay I must say, You made me second guess and therefore I am listing this horn as follows: Presumed to be a fake one off homemade wood inlay horn probably made by an unskilled wood worker in his garage. Rough horn with a thick clear coat, maybe shellac. Ugly horn with different colors of wood inlay. Approximately 21 inches long and horn is 12.5 inches diameter at the end. Listing is for the horn only, machine in a few of the pictures is for reference only. You look at pictures and judge for yourself. Pictures show condition. Shipping is $40 to lower 48 states! Will be packed very well. Thanks and buy with confidence!"
NOW the description is accurate...

As the old cool hand Luke movie said... What we have here is a failure to communicate . Or do not believe what you see believe what I tell you... We could be talking about a very rare one of a kind horn NOT I wonder if this horn had its origin in India. The seem to put out some odd and at times real nice horns Tom

It didn't sell -- the auction was closed. They are indicated differently by eBay.

Love the repeated digs at phonograph collectors...describes phonographs at boat anchors multiple times. Gee, I need to just throw out my whole collection!

The man may be on to something. Maybe if I used my VV-50 as a boat anchor so the fish would fox trot up to the bait..... I could make a fortune if it works knowing fisherman.. At least the music would make the fishing better.....That guy could be a Einstein in disguise..

I gets better..........From our friend the "wooden horn man"
"It's amazing how you and your forum fairies can run your mouths about someone you know nothing about! I was mistaken on the horn as I know nothing and don't care to about talking machines (boat anchors) We consider you people as bottom feeders. True everything I have on eBay is junk, as eBay is a flea market. My collection consist of standup metal disc players, very old pianos and grandfather clocks, the one in my foyer was in the movie gone with the wind! Not to mention antique car collection."
And better.................
"I have more change in my truck then most of your fairy graphs cost. You morons are little league to us major leaguers. We've been laughing at your remarks for the last few day! Just thought I would set the record straight. Being a talking machine (boat anchor as we refer) collector is really nothing to brag about. I guess in your circle you are a success, but certainly not in the big picture. Never feel sorry for a man who owns his own plane, especially one that owns 2!"
And finally.............
"Oh and tell that moron Rene, the horn did in fact sell!!!!!"
On my way to my garage building to burn my collection. Only one little building I scrimped and saved for and built myself. Wish I could have two.
Sorry Rene but the printed word demands truth.
