Rarity is subjective. A lot of this is geographical. The puzzle record discussed here is commons in the UK. Here in the USA, they are rare. Common machine over here, are scarce and rare overseas. In Seattle, European machines are common here, whereas in other parts of the country they are rare. Then there are other machines that are rare no matter the location. A good example is the Edison DD A-60 made in sheet metal. So, it's all relative.
