Bingo! That is the EXACT reason that the Triumph skips. I thought the very same thing myself when he brought it up.
Also, As far as the cylinder splitting... The Albany Indestructibles will never do that, though they will shrink a bit at the ends sometimes. Only the Lakesides and the U.S. Everlastings suffer from the splitting of the outside celluloid film coming off sometimes unfortunately... Oh, Yes, and of course Edison Blue Amberols will crack as well sometimes on the ends...but most people know that already. ;O)
