Do we have a thread dealing with shipping charges for packages generally? It seems to me that since ebay, postage costs seem to have increased considerably somewhat disproportianally to increasing fuel, wages etc.

One would expect with the huge growth of packages that ebay has caused, the prices would drop due to greater volume?

Maybe we could start a list on what the most economic way is of moving items around the country and globally (most economic is actually the transfer that take place at the trade shows with people bringing stuff that they have picked up for other collectors)

thanks

Actually, the price of postal services is increasing as the U.S. Postal Service is suffering serious financial problems due to a significant decrease in the use of its service. This is due to the advent of the internet. Email, on-line bill payment, and faxes are taking their toll.

However, the issue about which many of us are complaining is not the cost of shipping an item, but rather the greedy seller who inflates the shipping costs to increase his earnings.
