Things are still status quo regarding posting the Brunswick 117 photos. The girl at the library who's computer savvy isn't feeling well.Hopefully, she'll be feeling better soon, then I'll be golden(as in the oak finish on the Brunswick).

edisonplayer.PS;On the 27th I'll be sending the tone arm and Ultona up to the folks of Victrola Repair Service to have the Ultona reproducer rebuilt and have a new diamond for the Edison DD's installed.

Among the records I have in the Brunswick are several Brunswick discs by Margaret Young. Also,"Dipper Mouth Blues"on Gennett by King Oliver's band(with Louis Armstrong on cornet,"Big Butter & Egg Man" by LA's Hot Five(OKeh TrueTone),Ma Rainey on Paramount singing "Moonshine Blues",and Jimmie Rodgers on Victor scroll doing a couple of his blue yodels. This coming Tuesday I'll be sending the Ultona reproducer and tone arm up to Victrola Repair Service to have both worked on.Right now the Ultona blasts and buzzes. On certain frequencies sometimes the noise causes the brake to shut off.I'll love the Brunswick EVEN MORE after the reproducer and tone arm are done!edisonplayer

Yesterday I sent my tone arm and Ultona reproducer from my Brunswick 117 up to the guys at Victrola Repair Service.I'll have the Ultona rebuilt with new gaskets, and have a new diamond needle for the Edison DD's installed. They'll also work on the tone arm so it can be pushed in for lateral and Pathé hill and dale and pulled out for Edison Diamond Discs.Since the arm is pot metal I don't want to force it.I'll enjoy the 117 even more when the work is done and returned to me.edisonplayer
