Ha! My first car was a 1976 Pacer. Definitely NOT a cool car. My friends called it my Moon Buggy.

I had a baby blue Vega wagon and that "car" convinced me to never buy another Chevrolet product... what a piece of junk.

Another day! Today, I took apart the top casting and uncovered the gold lines that were under decades worth of cigarette tar. I also cleaned up the metal bits and pieces to make things look shiny again. The motor in this thing is one of the quietest I have ever encountered. What's left? Well, I still haven't installed new rubber feet under the cabinet. And the lid, believe it or not, can do with a fourth cleaning! The top of the lid seems to have absorbed the most tar. Someone better act fast. Because when I start detailing the cabinet, the price is going up. I made a joke this morning about the machine. Maybe I should actually keep it for myself. It runs that nicely

Great machine and great price. If I didn't have mine, I'd be all over this. Where else can you get a nice, original, and complete machine cleaned and restored by the Maestro himself

Well, everyone waited too long, and my itch to work kicked in again. All this labor is cascading into the machine. I'm now at $925, which is where I feel this is not only a bargain of a machine, but an excellent starter machine for anybody considering entering this hobby looking for something that will play reliably and not give hassle. The mainsprings will get greased (eliminate that ocassional thump when winding down), and new rubber feet get put on tonight. I don't think an ad like this has ever been posted to the Yankee Trader. Stuff is supposed to sell, not get more expensive.

My fourth and final cleaning of the lid. The brown tar build up coming off of it basically slowed my steel wool down to a crawl. I kept cleaning it until the steel wool glided over the smooth finish. Now the lid finally matches the cabinet!
