This just happened to me. I ordered a couple of made in USA catnip mice. on Dec-31, from a place in Compton NJ, it was sent to Hebron KY, and tonight I was just informed that it is in Compton CA. I live in MIchigan. PatPal will not issue a refund because it has not be over two weeks and I have not returned the item.
Here is a copy of the tracking. These two catnip mice got to see more of the USA then I did. And when is Kentucky a short cut from New Jersey to Michigan?

Many years go, my old PO changed their box numbers by adding the last 2 digits of the Zip code to the beginning and padding to 5 digits. My old box 27 became box 66027. The only problem with that was that occasionally the box number would be read as the Zip code and my mail would be routed to Leavenworth, Kansas instead of metro-Boston...

My current PO box has only 4 digits

Here's another issue: on Monday I made a freight shipment via my domestic carrier of choice, R&L Carriers. They offer on-line tracking and signature proof of delivery.

Yet, eBay and PayPal refuse to accept their tracking #. They say their systems "do not support this carrier" (one of the largest and most dependable trucking firms in the country). Furthermore, they say, my failure to upload "proper" tracking information counts against my seller ratings.

All this meddling is exactly why I won't sell on eBay anymore, and haven't since July 2010.

Ask them to show you where the policies say you can only use certain shippers. They won't be able to. All their policies say is that you need online verifiable proof of delivery, and signature confirmation if it's over $750. That's it.

Unfortunately, you'll waste hours if not days attempting to get them to follow their own policies.

I just had it happen again. 29 old motorcycle catalogs. Shipped from TN to MI normally a couple of days. Tracking showed them picked up and sitting in TN on the 5th. They did not moved until the 18th and then out of the blue they get delivered yesterday and still show they are in transit? USPS, they used to be better.

Sounds to me like your carrier may have put you package on the Attemped Delivery rack in the P.O. rather than putting it in the outgoing mail. After 15 days if the package is not picked up it is return d to the sender, or in this case they finally dispatched it to the processing center. I find things like this happening more and more. I blame it on the fact that most employees being hired by the Postal Service in the past several years are temporary employees rather than permanent career employees who cared about doing things correctly or they would be fired. The temporary employees don't care as they know thier job is only Temporary.

It made it to the TN processing center and then it sat there for almost 2 weeks. At one point just before it started to move again on their tracker, it showed "DELAYED" with out any explanation.
