I think it has some real parts too. It's definitely a hack job. Quite possibly someone is bidding it up in an effort to make it seem legit.

No, "quite definitely"! How many auctions for GOOD machines do you see where 1 bidder bids 200 then 250, 300, 350, 400, 450 etc so early in the proceedings?

I havent seen this happen with legit auctions. Theres a "Pathé that will not go away" that keeps popping up on ebay, gets bid up to $1000 + but then re-appears a few weeks later and the seller wishfully bids it up again. I wonder what they are paying as "buyer" or perhaps they stop just below their reserve?
