MordEth,
I think the scans look great!
I really love the coloring that you did on the cabinet. I wish I could do stuff like that but I never got past the crayon stage of life.
Really great work.

I am going to scan the images i think people will like but if anyone has anything special they think was once sold by H&S just send me a PM saying what you would like.
But there is one problem...I have a hard time posting them because they are normaly too lage for the forum...can some body tell me how to make them smaller?

Aaron,
I’m glad to see that the upload feature is now working for you, and thanks for sharing these images. I’ll have to see what I can do with them. The reproducer should be easy to cut out, and while not quite as simple, the other images would be interesting to do, also.

Bill,
Thanks. Actually, though—cutting out the image is a lot harder than coloring them. Basically the Columbia 820 is 3 different colored layers—the wood tone, the gun-metal, and the ‘gold‘ hardware. In
Photoshop, this is generally accomplished via
Image →
Adjustments →
Variations... (usually in conjunction with a few other tools under
Adjustments to tweak the color). However, you can do it with free software, as well. I have recommended
GIMP in other threads, and it is a free image editor that can do a lot of what
Photoshop can do.
Here is
a tutorial on how to recolor photographs with it. I’ll have to find a good tutorial on how to cut out images with it (or write my own). I plan on including more of these type of tutorials in the
Board Tech section as I have time.
Stay tuned for more images, and thanks to everyone who has contributed some of their advertising.
