Hi Roland,

I was curious about the Melophonic's mid-range and bass output compared to the Orthophonic, Viva-Tonal and Brunswick models. A pre-Orthophonic era sound box, such as the #2, would not respond to the bass range, and would change the characteristics of the mid-range, but the treble would probably come through okay.

In any event, many thanks for offering. If you can hunt down a good condition or restored Melophonic or similar reproducer, at some point, I'd be very interested in hearing it.

I've repaired the off brand Orthohphonic reproducer (which surprisingly only consisted of tightening the needle bar), and I will be working on making a video, so I can post a link to it on the forum.

I look forward to your video. It will be nice to hear one of these Ortho-Clones with some semblance to its original performance capabilities.
