Did you notice the asking price for the Pooley Victrola?

That's an Amberola Model-60.

Ah. I've never seen one with that style grille before.
That grill is from an Edison London upright model.

Very nice show, wish I could attend. I am in the mid west. I did attend that show when I lived in New York. I will see you all at Union.

They were asking $2800 for the Pooley. It was very nice. There were actually very few upright console machines. A sign of the times, I suppose.
I had not been to the Wayne show in several years. It was surprisingly crowded. It seemed like the only sales were parts (from Ron Sitko) and records. Many young hipsters buying records.
It would be interesting to know how the vendors felt about the show. There were some beautiful displays of equipment, but I personally didn't see any of it sell. As usual, the big sales that I heard about took place Saturday in the parking lot.

Don't forget that a lot of buyers (like myself) pre-pay and arrange pick up of their machines at the Wayne show. I did buy many records and one Columbia Client machine though on Sunday. Sold one out of two of my portables I brought with me also. I thought the place was packed on Sunday. Good tailgating on Saturday too but it was cold and windy outside.

I set up at Union and APS and big machines take up too much booth space especially when you're sharing space with other sellers. That's why I always suggest that you place a wanted ad if you're specifically looking for a large item. For example, if you're looking for an Amberola 75, place a wanted ad in the Trader and also say you'll be at Wayne, Union, etc. Your chances of finding what you like are much better. Of the machines I have available for sale, I'll take about half to Union.

I would agree that sales in the Parking Lot were very good but I also think sales on Sunday were pretty good. I saw several machines being carried out and I know of several people who made purchases but asked the dealers to hold them until the end of the show. As for myself I sold all three morning glory horns plus a Triumph, a Home, a Standard B, and my 2-clip Standard A serial number S283. I also sold about half of the 600 cylinders I brought. So I thought it was a very good show.

Your only 3 hours away that's an easy drive. People come from all over the country for the show. One person even drove from California. So plan on coming to the next show in October.

I go through Owego NY all the time on my way to Ithaca NY - very easy ride to Wayne New Jersey.
