The earliest perfected phonograph used a Grenet cell however the Class M used a battery of 3 or 4 Leland cells.
A Grenet cell produces around 1.9 volts (up to 2.2 if you swish and agitate it). A Class M needs around 3.5 volts and many today take a little more to get them going properly.

You can drive from Dallas to Union pretty easily, well we did last year from Birmingham to Dallas and then to Union in about 24-26 hours. Wes

I am hoping to see some people I know and also meet some other collectors. If I knew there would be some new or young collectors there I would bring along a few records to hand out for free.
For my collection, I am seeking these records:
1. Waltz Me Around Again, Willie (on a Victor Record)
2, Hail, Hail, the Gang's All Here (on a Blue Amberol)
Don M.

I'd just like to see Union.
A nephew is getting married the second Saturday in June...

Union won't be the same without you. Couldn't they perform the ceremony at the Wild West Town? Seems like the perfect venue to me. I'll pick up the tab for a cowgirl hat and a pair of six shooters for the bride.

For me, coming from down under from little old New Zealand. The comradeship that Union offers. Like going to a school reunion. This will be my forth time, and I must thank one of the main cogs in the wheel at Union, the one and only Sir Jerry Blais. Our country is shy of five million people. No, we don't have anything like Union here in NZ. A few monthly get together's in Christchurch is about all, very low key. So I feel like a child let loose in a Lollie shop.

Wow I didn't know that when you send photo's from "Down Under" they are upside down. Gosh I guess it only makes sense though, doesn't it.

I'd like to see some first time Union attendees. Anyone here going for the first time? Our booth is up near the bar. Please stop to say hello.

That would be no problem then.
Just have (2) of the Grenet cells operating in
series.
