Django: I see your metal cap is like mine. There are caps (I don't know what to call them) for sale on eBay for $64. These are not identical to ours as the ones on eBay have a raised rim. The finish on mine is not nearly as good as yours as the shellac has either worn or flaked off. I intend to leave it that way. I've looked at the Gfell and Eduardo reproductions. They are so good, the only way to tell mine is original is from its surface, poor as it may be. So it will stay that way. One can see how it originally looked when the cap is off.
