Jack, Madison is all the way down in the southern part of the state, about 1.5 hours from Indy. I'm already looking forward to your visit!

John M

I have the same experience - just audio with MPlayer or any other player.

Sorry guys—my fault; I did not consider that you would also need additional codecs for it:

For Intel Macs: essential-macosx-x86-20060611.zip
For PowerPC Macs: rp9codecs-macosx-20041107.pkg.zip

You can determine which one of those you need by going to the Apple menu (top left corner of your screen) and selecting “About This Mac”.

The information you are looking for is in the ”Processor” line. It will either say “Intel” or ”PowerPC”.

If you have an Intel Mac, you should see something like:

(This would be any newer Mac.)

(This are older Macs made a few years ago.)

Hope this helps—and ask me if you have any questions or difficulties.

Marcel,

Weird, sorry to hear that. Jack may be considering offering in a non-Microsoft-proprietary format as well, based on conversation I had with him about it; I do not know.

These days, with most devices, H264/MP4 is really the way to go.

Eventually, I think we’ll see WMV go the way of the Diamond Disc...although there really are no arguments for WMV being the superior format, whereas I have heard quite a few for the DDs. Certainly, playing a Diamond Disc could not infect your phonograph. ;)
