List some suggestions on discs you own in VG or better or even ones that you think are NM that you would be willing to lend Don. Potential buyers could vote for them here on this thread.
I like the Hot Jazz numbers best.
I really like this idea! My collection of Hot Jazz numbers is pretty limited due to the price that these records usually go for (especially on eBay) but this would make great records very reasonable in cost. I'd like to see some of the real late Diamond discs released such as Campus Rush/ Medicine Man For The Blues by the Campus Cut Ups or maybe even some copies of the Edison laterals since their material is prone to wear. Nonetheless this is really great, Id definitely like some from the 1st batch as well.

Certainly, if there are any particularly rare/desirable DDs, I would be interested in copies.

Gentlemen,
You are truly very kind to be so enthusiastic about this project, and its threads like this that make me understand why I've worked so long on this project.
Making these molds are VERY expensive, and a diamond disc takes a lot of high-grade to cast. So my guess is the economics are such that I need to sell somewhere around 15 copies of each disc at (a target price of) $30 each (plus shipping, ~$5) to break even on chemistry. I really want to keep prices low so people like myself (not wealthy) can own and play several titles we wouldn't otheriwse be able to afford but can I realistically sell more than 15 copies? And at some point I need to make back R&D costs... Your input on pricing would really be appreciated!!

Here are the titles which I currently either have or have access to.... (All Diamond Disc)
There are more to come, but it's incredibly time consuming and expensive to make each mold, so please be patient with me and we'll all end up with some great titles in the near future. And another big thanks to those of you who have loaned me discs!! I'm working as fast as I can to get those loaned to me molded and the originals returned, while still figuring out some of the minor issues, wiaing on materials and working two jobs...

1. B.A. Rolfe - I can't give you anything but Love
2. Sample Discs 6, 7, 12, 13
3. Charleston
4. You'll do it someday
5. Yes sir, that's my baby / Give us the Charleston
6. Eyeful of you (52087)
7. Yes she do / Hallelujah
8. Are you happy?
9. Edison Tuning Disc
10. Little Ford Rambled right along
11. The Varsity Drag
12. Sweet Georgia Brown / Isn't she the sweetest thing
13. Jig Walk (Charleston) (51724)

Hi,
I also would be interested in late electrically recorded and also long Play DD.
Thank you,

From that list of 13, I would cast my vote for
and commit to buy one each of (starting at the top as #1) 3,5,7,11,12 and 13. These are my first choices.
I might want some of the others, too, but for now, I would be thrilled to get those.
Thanks,
John

I see a few of the Sample Discs listed - do you already have molds made for each of them? Do 12" reccords such as them present any extra problems?

I would definitely want a copy of each of those.

Clear would be extra fun, if the others would also purchase them. My recent 20th Century cylinder project was successful but the glow-in-the-dark option was not popular so we didn't do it.

I've not yet molded any of the sample discs, and I don't foresee any additional issues molding them, other than the additional expense of greater material costs...

I think partnering with Norman Bruderhofer could be something to look into. You should try to do it if you're open to doing sharing. Norman is a very knowledgeable guy and is really into this kind of thing and is a gentleman who wouldn't rain on your parade.
I'm sure you can do this yourself because you have evidently discovered something others have tried to do but couldn't. We do not want you quit on us because it isn't fun for you. We hope to make it enjoyable and fun for you, too.

Have a Fifth on the Fourth.
Cheers,
John

Hi again,
Yes I agree The Rhapsody In Blue would be a fine one to copy if there is one available to make a copy from. Now I must look up the samples that are offered. Also clear is fine unless adding carbon black or some other solid would improve hardness.

Uncle Vanya, the Edisonians did a terrific job mimicking the original Whiteman version of RIB. It's as if someone said, "Here boys, listen to this Whiteman record". I greatly prefer that jazz band interpretation over the slower symphonic versions.

"Radio" is a great song. I found it on cylinder instead of disk and the dubbing was very good.
