Well I learned something here. I knew that Ron Sitko sold phonograph parts. I did not know that he also did repairs.

Come on, let's quit rubbing it in on V6--if I didn't know the repairman, I'd be also inquiring first.

Look at what happened to the guy that brought Eldridge Johnson that hand-wound Berliner--he got a really rare machine RUINED with an AFTERMARKET SPRING MOTOR! :lol: A collector nowadays would be hopping mad.

Actually, though, when I telephoned the Sitkos and heard the fine tones of a Victor III in the other room playing a briskly splayed ragtime record that convinced me that they knew what they were about. Still, I always call the actual repairmen first & "Talk Shop" just to get the feel of whether or not they know talking-machines.
