That phonograph looks brand new...is the paper signboard a replica, or a good condition original?

Not sure if the signboard is original or not, since I haven't taken it apart yet... but it is in good condition.

Curt,
Nice machine, one of my favorites.
Now the hard part, finding an original 13" nickel horn.

Well, I can vouch for the paper signboard, since I designed it in 1984! The lettering was photocopied from an original Sears poster, pasted together to fit the BS sign frame, and photocopied again. I provided clean originals to a couple of dealer friends and I've seen those signs in some unlikely places!

So, it is an "original"...

Curt A wrote:If anyone has a need for a half mortise lock exactly like the one on the AS front door, I was able to find some NOS locks with keys for $30 plus shipping...
Will they fit BS coin op I need a original key for mine?
Thanks Eric

Here is a pic of the lock next to my original... not sure if it's the same on a BS. Look at the pic and compare it to yours, The lock is 1 ¾" wide x ⅜" deep x 1 ½" high. The keyhole is ¾" from the top and ¾" from the side (offset, not centered) to the center of the keyhole. If those measurements are the same as your original, it will work. I unscrewed mine and put one of these in its place - screw holes and cutout matched perfectly. Let me know, since it is impossible to find NOS locks & keys for these. The lock on top with the brass back is the original...
