Mine does not have any mechanism to keep the doors closed.

There is no closing mechanism on the doors of this machine.
If your doors are loose or won't stay closed you will need to tighten the pivot pins on the door hinges.

I have previously suggested gluing a small piece of felt on the bottom of each door to help them stay closed.

I'll start with the pins and if that doesn't do the trick - felt seems like a good idea.
