Here are photos of my AH. My cabinet is identical to the one in this thread. I bought my machine from a non collector. The patent date on the reproducer is May 4th, 1886 and it has a thumb screw. The traveling arm is approximately 14.75". I believe my support arm is a reproduction of the correct 9" length (approx). The horn has its original leather elbow. The crank is threaded. Regarding the Search function, surrounding your Search phrase with double-quotes - "type ah" as in the attached photo, should provide you access to the publications referenced in this thread.

Thank you. That is exactly what I did and received the "NO RESULTS MATCHED YOUR QUERY. PLEASE TRY A DIFFERENT PHRASE" result –– unless I am missing something. Thanks, Jerry Blais for your photos.

Jerry, Thanks so much for those pictures. In all my years of collecting, I never saw a motor like this one. For those of us who are not that great with computers, I appreciate the help.

That was a transitional motor which was offered only briefly. For the article referenced in The Antique Phonograph, a collector and member of this forum kindly sent a photo, as I did not have one. (And I cannot find that photo in my computer files.)

Number 54752, pretty late in the transitional motor AH's according to George Paul's great write up in APS.

Regarding the advanced search on the APS website, thanks to the patience and kindness of Rod, I discovered that the problem seems to be with the way my computer configuration. When I copy/paste the search term not typed with my computer (sent via email from Rod) I get the correct results. Are there any other Mac users out there who find this happens?
