I bought this from an online auction near me for less than $1500. The same auction listed a working Victor Credenza X described as "Old Cabinet with Turntable". That sold for $10.

The tag on my pre-dog E is dated "March 1st 1902". They must have used those tags for some years; as your III uses a motor design from several years later.

Could the date have been based on the wording of the tag, and changed when model prices were updated?

Even though the tag on mine is dated 1902, I think it was made closer to 1909, according to the Victor Data Book. It is serial number 17151. Still pretty cool, though.
