Sorry about that! It is mahogany! The new veneer arrived on Friday so I'm pretty excited about getting it ready to go! I'll post some pics soon.

Wonderful. How did you get the color right? It looks like it came off the Victor company floor. Did you french polish with shellac before varnishing the cabinet? Matching the outside finish to the inside of the lid has always seemed impossible to me.

Great job on the XVII,
Could you please share the type glue you used to secure the veneer and your process to apply,
start at top and work down, one corner and over or what?
Also, what stain or dye are you using and the type of finish?
