Yeah, I bet a decent Blue Amberol record sounds
real great and loud when played with 4 billion
tons of weight pressing down on it!
Listen once or twice, then pitch the record
into the ash can because it's done.
Bet they sold lots of records that way....

That’s why these machines, though interesting, should not be used to play records.
Save your cylinders and use the 4-minute sapphire reproducers.

Well, by that time, cylinder sales were pretty much tanking. Maybe they were trying to create a demand?

I don’t think we need to be to concerned about playing cylinders on the Diamond D reproducers as there are not many of them around. Both the Model 60 and Model 80 are extremely rare and the Diamond D reproducers are even harder to find. The Model 80 in Oak that I had listed for sale on the Yankee Trader was one of only two known to exist. There are also only a handful known in mahogany.
