I don't know, Grant. I'm with you this one. I've never heard a good Gem reproducer (at least not compared to a Model B (for brown wax) or a Model C (for moulded wax). In my mind, Gem Speakers belong on the shelf with Berliner sound boxes. Interesting and fun to have, but not to play.

Wow, Learned something new today. I never would have though that-that was an Edison Reproducer.. It "looks" too aftermarket of the period.. I'll have to read-up on it in Frow..

Thanks for all the posts on this one....especially to Wyatt! Using it only with Listening Tubes makes perfect sense.
