Those reproducers made it dramatically easier and cheaper to play your cylinders overnight. Before PB came along with those you paid $150 or more for a good original, (in 1980) or you could get those sand cast oriental repros with glass styli which were crap. Then these came out at around $75 if I recall correctly and sounded fantastic.

I bought a C, K & H at the time. Wish now I'd have bought a dozen of each.

The C & H's sold for $39.50 each originally. $75.00 if you bought one of each. The Model-K's sold for $79.50 each. Quantity purchases were discounted.
