My copy of the 1919 set also has the Tudor Davies take. I need to pull it out and take a listen again. It sits beside the 1927 complete set, the 1931 abridged set on 10” records, and the Columbia set from 1931 (along with about 2 dozen other G&S sets).

Oh, I saw this thread a while ago and thought, "Those numbers seem familiar to me".

So, earlier today I had a rummage around for a few hours and found that I think I have this set of records too !

I couldn't really follow how to date the pressings etc but they are really great records !

Here is lucky number 13 !

Oh, the numbers look like HO3779 at the bottom ..... 2 on the left ............. with GT on the right ..........

My set also includes the late matrix 4450 for Side 12 with Derek Oldham as Marco, who does not otherwise appear in the set.

In listening again to this set, I noticed one other unusual feature on Side 16, the other side of the record with the newer Davies master of “Take a pair sparkling eyes”—it is the only side on this acoustic set to have an eccentric lead-out groove.
