With auctions too it "buyer beware". That's why they have viewing and advise that you do so.
If you can't look in person or get additional photos then its always going to be a gamble.

The least thing they could do, even if I still don't understand why auction houses focusing on antiques will sell crapophones.
It is like legitimating this business to keep this crap on their auction, as I see it.
A UK auction house established in 1923 should have more pride really as I see it.
But that is me...
