$1400 strikes me as very high for a funnel horn. Unless, perhaps, it was a Polyphone horn, with a loop soldered into the rim to hook two horns together. Those are indeed rare.
There have been some repro funnel horns made in the past but I think quantities were very small. One series was made about 25 years ago but they were sold only with a replica Columbia Polyphone attachment, they weren't available for individual sale.
It is surprising that no one is making them now.

Sounds like a nice enterprising job for someone....starting with small limited runs...to "test" the waters...
I'm sure many out there would be interested in buying one..
