Here is the front of the older VI and the newer one. Newer one also has different horn, Brake on top is in different location. The crank is different too. The older one has slat facing down and new facing up and further apart I think.

Yes, lovely looking older machine there. I also have both the early 10" and a later (1916) machine similar to your later one.

Could anyone with the earlier machine provide a picture of the pivot pin? Also, does the tone arm just rest on the support, without actually being fixed to it?

Over the last few weeks I was able to get another back bracket from ebay that was identical to the original bracket but undamaged and George at Great Lakes Phonographs sent me the complete pivot pin assembly that I was missing. Now the tone arm is complete and back together and looks a lot better than it did before! Now I just have some maintenance to do on the motor and all will be well with this early VV-VI. Thank you for the help.
