Those Victrola 100s are good machines. With the serial number you gave, yours can be dated to early 1922. They made 196,000 of them so it's not rare a bit, but it was certainly one of the favorite phonographs of the 1920s listening public. Sized between an older Model XI and a Model XIV it should be "just right" for the modern home.
What kind of records have you been enjoying on it?

The videos are very helpful. I am a bit scared though to mess around myself, I am not confident with fixing things.
But maybe after a few more watches I might go for it.
I really like the look of my Victrola. I can see why it was popular back then with lots of people. And I really am enjoying playing all sorts of records. It came with about 50 of them. Lots of polkas which family gets a kick out of, some really old Victor records from early 1900s like marching stuff and , and then the mid 40s/50s popular band stuff, and also some foreign type music. I now have like 100 more haha.
But, I always have loved the 20s/30s music, and have come across some of that, and some random cowyboy music. I sort of have been buying records based on the obscurity of the song title, lately. I could spend hours listening to anything on the 78 player. And I came across a few sample records too that are cool that never got recorded I don't think. Anyways, It all is so cool to me, to hear things I never did before or to hear stuff that I know, but played with that raw sound.
Thanks again for all the help!
