Hi. I have 96 cylinders stored in 4 wooden cylinder storage boxes that are looking for a good home to a collector in the Washington DC area ( I’m in northern va). Cylinders are a mix of 2 and 4 min. Pm me if you want to arrange to see them or for more info.

I also have a new style model a player in good condition.

This will be a “starter” phonograph for me. Please let me know if you have one you’d like to sell to a newbie (me) and whether you have some cylinders for sale as well. I am in the Washington, DC area. Thank you.
Header is changed to "found," so--what did you get?

I think he was responding more to the OP as a courtesy, as they asked for a source for cylinders, rather than placing a general "For Sale" ad.

I see you're right, my apologies.

This is a thread of the Forum at its best. New guy wants a phonograph, everybody pitches in and shows him where to get the good stuff, a mysterious stranger even steps out of the woodwork with some items, and the little confusions are resolved in a genteel fashion.

The only thing that could make this thread better is if the guy who got the new phonograph told everyone what he got! Hint Hint!
