Re: Operation of Edison’s Speaking Phonograph- Tinfoil
I frequently use snipping programs on eBay so that I don’t have to worry about being there to watch the end of the auction and risk missing an opportunity. It also sometimes prevents some of the upward price drift that can occur with early bidding. My theory is whether you use a snipping program or not, bid the maximum you are willing to pay and you will either win it or not depending on whether someone else is willing to pay more. With snipping bids you never know what the high bidder is willing to pay until the last seconds, which is not necessarily a bad thing.

It is a great piece that I would love to have, but I didn’t get it.Curt A wrote:Did you get this, Mike?Mlund2020 wrote:I frequently use snipping programs on eBay so that I don’t have to worry about being there to watch the end of the auction and risk missing an opportunity. No big deal Aaron, was just surprised that it made a 1k jump within the last 4 seconds..
I use a Sniping program all the time now. Besides the obvious "not having to be watching the bids), it prevents me from over thinking the item and placing a single bid (what it's worth to me)..
A must have for any Tinfoil owner with the financial means.. Congrat's to somebody...
