Excellent advice, thanks. I’m going to pass on the Florida machine.
I would also pass on the Florida machine. Parts like the horn could be maddening to locate. Any modifications around the motor board would be difficult to correct. The finish is not correct. It would be satisfying to bring it back to original but not if you would always find yourself looking to upgrade to a nicer example.

I'm not sure if you're looking for a restored machine, but if you are I have this one, and can bring it to the Orlando show.

I wrote to the seller of the VV-XVIII on Facebook and sent pictures of the horn from the front and back. They said that it is there. The machine may just need a motor and a lot of elbow grease, (or it may be one to pass on). The seller is open to offers, so it may be worth looking into, (or not).
