Question about Canadian Credenza tonearm

It seems strange but I guess that Victor didn’t make any adjustments to the tonearm when they moved the turntable to the right. It looks like the arm on mine is probably correct, although I still don’t know about the fact that there is no limit on the movement of the arm. It moves far enough to the right to disengage with the brake arm.
