Probably not a bad idea. You are a true artist.

My son grows gourds in his garden. Now we have a new use for them!

We spent the month of February in Mesa, Arizona at Mesa Spirit RV Park. It's a huge park with over 1600 spaces. Those spaces are filled park model RVs, and pulled RVs of all shapes and sizes and those rigs are filled with active people. The Mesa Spirit Crafts and Clubs booklet is ten pages long and activities range from art to woodworking. I took a classic Schwinn bike with me to work on and I never touched it. Instead we joined the cribbage group, went to dances, joined the Spirit Singers, and DeeDee joined the Spirited Ukes a ukulele group. My cousin, Don Tucker, and his significant other, Jan, live in the park nearly half the year and are very active. Don and Jan encouraged DeeDee to join the ukulele group and Don offered his professionally built uke to DeeDee. Don is an accomplished artist in several mediums but I was unprepared for what he did next. He picked up a ukulele that he was building out of a gourd. It was not only beautiful but a fully functional ukulele. I am a true phono nerd and my mind is never far from my hobby. I looked at that gourd ukulele and immediately thought to build a gourd horn. The rest is phono history.

Since they seem to be into musical stuff in the park, the next time you visit maybe you can build an A-gourd-ion for entertainment or an A-gourd-olin...

Jerry

Sounds like you two had a great time and you have some conversation pieces to bring home as a bonus!

Bruce

PS Did you have to carry a revolver when wearing that t-shirt in public?

Why?... Angry Warren, Mike and Bernie supporters?

   I laughed out loud. Those horns are really neat! Are they on the heavier side for needing a crane? Or are the light enough to not have to worry about it breaking?
