Cool. Thanks (again) Paul. It helps us dumb foreigners who have never seen a VV-X in person, get some idea how big/small it is.
It's actually the same size as my HMV no.11.
Is the horn in your VV-X cast iron with a wooden flare, or did these use an all wood horn?

as a featured phonograph. The pictures I have are not the greatest though, so I
need to get some better shots hopefully tomorrow.

Antiques73, Please do post your VV-100. Also please be generous with the pictures. I always like to see closeups of under the lid, sn plates and motor and reproducer details to really understand what a machine is about.

I totally agree! It's always nice to see the ins & outs of any machine, and can help in spotting finish & design variations etc. I usually try to post a shot under the motor board too, to show the horn shape, size & material, as you dont always get a look inside unless you actually own an example of that particular machine. I think it's also nice to show any manufacturer & dealer tags/decals, just for an added bit of eye candy

Hey Paul, I am thrilled that you posted your VV-X. I just finished rehabbing one and that being my first wind-up phonograph experience I now know what I wish mine had looked like when I got it. Unfortunately the exterior finish was (to me) so bad that I stripped it all off and refinished it. Planning to post it soon and will include some photos. Thanks for sharing.

Edison Fan has a nice machine. What type of motor did this machine use? Was it the early style motors?
